The Last of Us Part 2 reportedly recorded the biggest digital launch month sales of any PlayStation exclusive.
Naughty Dog’s PS4 title sold 2.8 million copies digitally in June, surpassing the 2.2 million digital sales Marvel’s Spider-Man and Final Fantasy VII Remake recorded during their launch months, according to Nielsen’s SuperData.

SuperData said worldwide digital gaming revenue in June was the second-highest on record at $10.46 billion, only behind April 2020’s $10.54 billion.
Following its release on June 19, The Last of Us Part 2 sales cleared four million copies worldwide in three days, making it the fastest-selling PS4 exclusive to date.
The Last of Us Part 2 also recorded the second-biggest launch month ever for a Sony-published game in the US, according to market research firm NPD Group.
