The Game Awards 2023: All the major announcements rounded up
Including new game reveals, fresh trailers and award winners
The Game Awards took place on Thursday night at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles and delivered a host of exciting announcements.
The tenth edition of the annual event was a major production featuring new game reveals, an awards show, musical performances and more.
New games revealed included Capcom’s Monster Hunter Wilds, Arkane Lyon’s Marvel’s Blade, Hello Games‘ Light No Fire, and Kemuri, the debut title from Unseen, which is former Ghostwire Tokyo creative director Ikumi Nakamura’s new studio.
Hideo Kojima and Jordan Peele officially introduced new Xbox game OD, Sega announced that reboots of five classic series are in development, and Sony revealed free God of War Ragnarok DLC expansion Valhalla.
Baldur’s Gate 3 was the big winner at The Game Awards, taking home six prizes included Game of the Year, while Alan Wake 2 scooped three awards.
