The first Bandai Namco ‘Cross Store’ outside of Japan is coming to London
The store will open in Camden next month and will host six separate shops
Bandai Namco is opening a ‘Cross Store’ in London next month.
The Bandai Namco Cross Store will open in Camden in July, and is the “first of its kind outside of Japan”, according to the publisher.
The Cross Store is made up of a collection of six different shops, each offering different types of Bandai Namco content, four of which will be coming to the UK for the first time.
The shops will offer “a wide selection of high-quality Japanese character products from collectables, card games, figures, and everyday items,” according to Bandai Namco.
The six shops featured inside the Bandai Namco Cross Store are:
- Banpresto Official Shop (first in the UK)
- Gashapon Bandai Official Shop
- Ichibankuji Official Shop (first in the UK)
- MegaHouse Official Store (first in the UK)
- One Piece Card Game Official Shop
- Sun-Star Stationery Shop (first in the UK)
The Cross Store will also include an “arcade experience” and a separate space for special events.
“Camden, London is widely recognised as offering an eclectic mix of cultural products and art,” Bandai Namco Amusement Europe managing director John McKenzie said in a statement.
“It is the perfect location to launch our Bandai Namco Cross Store concept in the UK, which combines our expertise in locations-based entertainment with a rapidly growing demand for IP and concepts originating from our group’s Japanese culture.”
The opening of the Cross Store will be welcome news to London residents who used to visit the Namco Funscape, the famous amusement facility which was located in London’s South Bank for 25 years before closing its doors in 2021.
