The first Assassin’s Creed Shadows expansion details have been revealed
Claws of Awaji is the first Assassin’s Creed Shadows expansion, according to Steam
Information on the first Assassin’s Creed Shadows expansion has reportedly leaked.
According to Reddit users, Assassin’s Creed Shadows‘ Steam listing was recently updated to include the first details on the game’s first expansion.
However, the listing was seemingly updated ahead of schedule, as the expansion details were removed shortly after being published.
Titled Claws of Awaji, the DLC will reportedly introduce a new explorable area, a new weapon type (the Bō), and over 10 hours of additional content.
It appears that the update to the game’s Steam listing may have coincided with last week’s announcement of a second Assassin’s Creed Shadows delay.
Ubisoft said it was pushing back the title by a further month in order to incorporate more player feedback into the launch game.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which was previously delayed from last November to February 2025, will now be released on Match 20.
In a statement, Ubisoft said the additional development time would allow it to “better incorporate the player feedback gathered over the past three months and help create the best conditions for launch by continuing to engage closely with the increasingly positive Assassin’s Creed community”.

Previously, Ubisoft said it was confident a second delay wouldn’t be necessary.
In the original postponement announcement, Ubisoft said it was departing from its traditional season pass model, canceling early access to the title, and granting players who pre-ordered the game its first expansion for free.
