The Fallout TV show episode 1 release date has been confirmed

The release date for Amazon Prime Video’s Fallout TV show has been announced.

A tweet from the official ‘Fallout on Prime’ account shows a new teaser video which seemingly confirms the date the first episode will be made available.

The video shows a computer terminal, which shows various messages including one that says “Holotape found: 101_The_End”.

It then ends with 04.12.24, implying that the first episode, titled The End, will be released on April 12, 2024.

Bethesda and Amazon confirmed in August that the Fallout TV show would be released in 2024, and is set in Los Angeles.

A teaser trailer shown during Gamescom, but not publicly released, featured marching Brotherhood of Steel soldiers, a shootout in a western-inspired town, and a woman emerging from a vault for the first time.

The Fallout series, which will be shown on Amazon Prime Video, is being produced by Kilter Films, the production company behind HBO’s Westworld.

The debut episode will be directed by Westworld co-creator and executive producer Jonathan Nolan, while Captain Marvel and Tomb Raider 2018 film co-writer Geneva Robertson-Dworet, and Silicon Valley co-executive producer Graham Wagner, have also been appointed as showrunners.

Fallout debuted in 1997 and the most recent game in the series was 2018’s online multiplayer title Fallout 76. Season 14 of the title, Fight for Freedom, launched on Tuesday.

The last mainline series entry, 2015’s Fallout 4, is also its best-selling one, having shipped 12 million copies worldwide for launch day alone, according to its publisher.

Last year Bethesda’s Todd Howard reiterated that Fallout 5 is behind Elder Scrolls 6 in the developer’s production queue.
