The Falconeer: Warrior Edition is coming to PlayStation and Switch
The BAFTA nominated aerial combat game hits new platforms in August
The Falconeer will be released for PS5, PS4 and Nintendo Switch on August 5, 2021, publisher Wired Productions has announced.
The open-world aerial combat game, which sees players piloting a powerful warbird in a fantasy oceanic world called The Great Ursee, will arrive on Sony’s and Nintendo’s consoles in the form of the new Warrior Edition.
It will include all DLC released to date, a new content pack called Edge of the World, some re-recorded voiceover work, and a streamlined prologue tutorial.
It’s available to pre-order digitally for $29.99 / £24.99 / €29.99. It will be available physically for PlayStation consoles for the same price, but the boxed Switch version is more expensive at $34.99 / £29.99 / €34.99.
Nominated in the Debut Game category at the 2021 BAFTA Games Awards, The Falconer is the first title from independent developer Tomas Sala. It originally released for Xbox consoles and PC in November 2020 before joining Xbox Game Pass in February.
Featuring new side quests, locations and items, plus “a self-contained story”, the Edge of the World DLC will also be available to purchase for Xbox and PC beginning on August 5.
“I’m so pleased that over 500,000 players are exploring the world of The Great Ursee on Xbox and PC, and I’m really looking forward to seeing Nintendo Switch players, as well as PlayStation players, dive into the world of The Falconeer”, said Sala.
