The Epic Games Store’s next free titles have been announced

Next week’s free Epic Games Store titles have been revealed.

A Plague Tale: Innocence and Speed Brawl will be free to download from August 5-12.

They will replace bullet hell FPS Mothergunship and Train Sim World 2, which normally cost £19.99 and £24.99 respectively, but are currently free to download until August 5.

Epic claimed in January that the Epic Games Store had attracted over 160 million PC users since launching in December 2018.

The company has been giving away free titles on a weekly basis since the marketplace launched, including 103 games in 2020, collectively worth $2,407 based on US prices. Epic said users claimed over 749 million free titles last year.

It spent nearly $12 million securing titles for its free game giveaways during a nine-month period, according to a document recently released as part of the legal battle between Epic and Apple.

The Epic Games Store launched its Summer Sale last week. Running until August 5, the promotion includes savings of up to 75% on select titles.

Featured discounts include 20% off Days Gone (£31.99), 33% off Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla (£33.49), and 50% off Hitman 3 (£24.99).

Other offers include 67% off NBA 2K21 (£16.49), 35% off Outriders (£32.49), and 30% off Oddworld Soulstorm (£27.99).

Players who log in to free strategy management game Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms on the Epic Games Store during the Summer Sale can unlock the Ellywick Skin & Feat Pack free of charge. Epic said it is worth $24.
