The Epic Games Store’s next free title has been revealed
Cave Story+ will replace MudRunner
Next week’s free Epic Games Store title has been revealed.
Classic indie platformer Cave Story+, from Nicalis and Studio Pixel, will be free to download from December 3-10.
It will replace off-road driving game MudRunner, from developer Saber Interactive and publisher Focus Home Interactive, which normally costs £19.99 but is currently free to download until December 3.
The Epic Games Store’s free games promotion, which launched alongside the storefront in December 2018, will run throughout 2020.
Epic CEO Tim Sweeney claimed earlier this year that the promotion has caused sales to increase for developers who participate.
Epic will launch a monthly Fortnite subscription service when the game’s new season debuts.
Priced at $9.99, the Fortnite Crew subscription offer will go live alongside Chapter 2 – Season 5 on December 2.
As well as access to the current season’s Battle Pass, each month subscribers will receive 1,000 V-Bucks and a Crew Pack featuring exclusive outfits and accessories.
