The Epic Games Store’s next free title has been announced
Wargame: Red Dragon will replace Sunless Sea
Next week’s free Epic Games Store title has been revealed.
Eugen Systems’ real-time strategy title Wargame: Red Dragon will be free to download from March 4-11.
It will replace Failbetter Games’ Sunless Sea, which the company describes as “a nautical roguelike in glorious 2D, presenting a non-linear, choice-heavy, personalised experience”.
Sunless Sea normally cost £14.99 but is currently free to download until March 4.
Epic held a spring showcase event this month, during which it announced that the Kingdom Hearts series will be made available on PC for the first time as an Epic Games Store exclusive in March 2021.
Epic claimed in January that the Epic Games Store had attracted over 160 million PC users since launching in December 2018.
The company has been giving away free titles on a weekly basis since the marketplace launched, including 103 games in 2020, collectively worth $2,407 based on US prices. Epic said users claimed over 749 million free titles last year.
