The Epic Games Store has revealed its next free games
One of this week’s free titles, The Escapists 2, also delayed
Epic has announced that Stranger Things 3 and AER Memories of Old will be next week’s free Epic Games Store titles.
They’ll replace Pathway, which is now free to download (normally £12.99), on Thursday June 25 at 4pm BST/11am ET/8am PT.
Pathway was supposed to be joined this week by a second free game, The Escapists 2, but its launch on Epic’s marketplace has been delayed.
Free titles on the Epic Games Store now periodically require that two-factor authentication be activated on users’ accounts before they’re able to be claimed.
The free games promotion, which launched alongside the storefront in December 2018, will run throughout 2020.
Epic CEO Tim Sweeney recently claimed it has caused sales to increase for developers who participate in the scheme.
It was announced earlier this month that A Total War Saga: Troy will be released exclusively via the Epic Games Store this August and will be free to download for its first 24 hours.
Epic Games launched Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 3 earlier this week, freshening things up by flooding the battle royale island.
