The Day Before studio Fntastic says it’s planning a beta and a return to Steam

The studio behind the controversial MMO The Day Before has said it’s planning a beta and is working to get the game back on Steam.

Developer Fntastic delayed the second most wishlisted game on Steam by eight months in January, after what it claimed to be a surprise copyright claim on the name of the title.

On Wednesday the studio provided an update on the zombie survival game, which is currently delisted from Steam, via an administrator on The Day Before Discord.

“We understand that many of you have been eagerly waiting for the release of this game, and we want to thank you for your patience and support throughout the development process,” they said, according to PCGamesN.

“We have been working hard to ensure that the game meets our high standards, and we are confident that it will be worth the wait.

“As we get closer to the release date, we will be conducting a beta test for the game,. This will give players the opportunity to try out the game before it is released and provide valuable feedback that we can use to improve the final product.”

In a follow-up message, the administrator said: “And for those wondering if the game [is] gonna be on Steam, it should be on Steam, yes. Team is working on it.”

They also said the game is still planned for release on November 10, “without further delay.”
