A new skin from the movie The Batman has been officially confirmed for Arkham Knight, a month after it was accidentally added to the PC version of the game.

The new skin lets players use the suit from The Batman, the 2022 movie starring Robert Pattinson as Batman.

It was made for Batman: Arkham Trilogy, which is releasing on Nintendo Switch on December 1. This compilation includes Arkham Asylum, Arkham City and Arkham Knight in one package, along with all the DLC previously released for those games.

The Switch version of Arkham Knight featured in this compilation will also be the first to get the new skin from The Batman, which will be available from the December 1 release date.

Warner Bros Games says the suit will then be added as a free download to the PS4, Xbox One and PC versions of Arkham Knight on December 15.

Some PC players have already had a taste of The Batman suit in action, however, after it was accidentally added to the Epic Games Store version in October for a brief period.

Players spotted that the skin had been added to the game, in what at the time was thought to be a stealth release, rather than a mistake.

The suit was simply called The Batman – 2022 and came with the description “I am the shadows.”

However, as quickly and quietly as the suit was added, players started reporting that it had been removed again, presumably when the error had been spotted.

Arkham Trilogy was originally planned to release on Switch on October 13, but was then held back for two months.

“More time is needed to bring players the best possible experience on Nintendo Switch,” the game’s official Twitter account read at the time. “We apologise to fans who are excited to play this version of the trilogy. Thank you for your patience.”

The trilogy is being developed for Nintendo’s console by Turn Me Up Games, which previously handled Switch versions of It Takes Two, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2, and Borderlands Legendary Collection.
