The Assassin’s Creed Mirage release date has been brought forward by a week
Ubisoft has also confirmed that the game has gone gold ahead of October’s release
Ubisoft has brought forward the Assassin’s Creed Mirage release date by one week.
Previously scheduled to be released on October 12, 2023, the game will now be available for PC, PlayStation and Xbox consoles on October 5.
Series creator Ubisoft Montreal revealed the new release date in a Twitter post which also confirmed that the game has gone gold, meaning the main development of the title has been completed.
Mirage’s development is being led by Ubisoft Bordeaux, the studio behind the Wrath of the Druids expansion for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
Billed as a love letter to the original Assassin’s Creed, gameplay is focused on parkour, stealth and assassinations, marking a return to the action-adventure style of games released prior to the more expansive RPG-style series entries Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla.
Ubisoft showed off eight minutes of Assassin’s Creed Mirage gameplay in June.
The game’s creative director, Stéphane Boudon, said in July that Ubisoft wasn’t planning to release any Assassin’s Creed Mirage DLC.
Ubisoft revealed the future roadmap for the Assassin’s Creed franchise last September.
It said the next two flagship games after Mirage, codenamed Red and Hexe, would be released as part of the new Infinity franchise hub, the live service initiative announced in 2021.
