The 2023 Tribeca Games Spotlight has detailed seven upcoming indie titles

This year’s Tribeca Games Spotlight presentation has now concluded.

The presentation detailed the seven upcoming indie games that were selected by Tribeca judges to be showcased during the 2023 Tribeca Festival, which started earlier this week.

Playable demos of all seven games are available for those attending the Tribeca Festival to try out.

“This year, Tribeca’s games selections showcase creators who explore identity, emotion, and a sense of place through their games,” Tribeca’s VP of games and immersive Casey Baltes said in a statement last month.

“We are proud to highlight a range of cultural perspectives with exceptional artistry and storytelling from voices all around the world that will captivate audiences and stay with them long after the experience is over.”

A replay of the full show can be watched below:

The full list of games shown during the Spotlight is as follows:

  • A Highland Song (Inkle Studios)
  • Goodbye Volcano High (KO_OP)
  • Chants of Sennaar (Rundisc / Focus Entertainment)
  • Nightscape (Mezan Studios)
  • Stray Gods (Summerfall Studios / Humble Games)
  • The Expanse: A Telltale Series (Deck Nine / Telltale Games)
  • Despelote (Panic)

Attendees of the physical Tribeca Festival will also be able to attend the world premiere of the new documentary Hideo Kojima: Connecting Worlds, which will take place on June 17 with Kojima attending for a Q&A session.

“Widely regarded as the first auteur of video games, this visually captivating documentary gives a rare insight into Hideo Kojima’s creative process as he launches his own independent studio,” according to the description accompanying the trailer.
