Tetris Effect coming to PC this month via Epic Games store

Includes Oculus Rift and HTC Vive support

Tetris Effect will hit PC on July 23 via the Epic Games store, Enhance has announced.

The game will be playable on either a standard display or in VR with support for Oculus Rift and HTC Vive headsets and controllers.

Enhance says: “As the ultimate version of Tetris Effect, the PC version is capable of running at resolutions of 4K or more, with an uncapped framerate (if Vsync is disabled), and includes ultra-wide monitor support as well as other expanded game and graphical options for both 2D and VR play (including adjustable particle volume and size, texture filtering, and more) not found in the PlayStation 4 console release.”

Originally released on Sony’s console in November 2018, Tetris Effect was nominated for two BAFTA video game awards and praised for its implementation of PlayStation VR.

Speaking to VGC in a recent interview, Enhance CEO Tetsuya Mizuguchi said he’s targeting next-gen consoles for his next game release.

“New hardware and new technology in general has always been a huge source of inspiration for me, from my days back in the arcade to most recently VR and AR,” the Rez and Lumines creator said.
