Terry and Mai from Fatal Fury are coming to Street Fighter 6
They’ll be joined by M Bison and Elena in the game’s Year 2 content
Capcom has revealed that two characters from Fatal Fury will be coming to Street Fighter 6.
Terry Bogard and Mai Shiranui will be coming to the game as part of its Year 2 content.
They’ll be joined by returning Street Fighter characters M Bison and Elena.
Bison will be the first character to be added to the game, with a release set for summer 2024.
Terry will follow in autumn 2024, then Elena in spring 2025, before Mai finally arrives in winter 2025.
Terry previously appeared as a guest fighter in Super Smash Bros Ultimate, but has never appeared in the Street Fighter series (and neither has Mai).
Fatal Fury and Street Fighter characters have met in the past, however, most notably in the Capcom vs SNK series of fighting games.
M Bison was the final boss in Street Fighter II and is therefore considered one of the most popular villains in the Street Fighter series.
Elena is a Kenyan capoeira fighter who first made her debut in Street Fighter 3. She returned in Ultra Street Fighter 4, but didn’t appear in Street Fighter 5.
Street Fighter 6 has sold over three million copies since it was released in June 2023, according to Capcom, which is targeting 10 million lifetime sales for the game.
The company is set to co-produce a new live-action Street Fighter movie with Legendary Entertainment, after the Dune and Godzilla vs. Kong production company acquired the film and TV rights to the fighting series last year.
