Tekken 8 roster ‘partially leaked via Network Test datamine’

Fan favourite Yoshimitsu has seemingly been confirmed to return

Tekken 8 roster ‘partially leaked via Network Test datamine’

Some of Tekken 8‘s roster, including unannounced fighters, appears to have leaked via a datamine.

That’s thanks to Cheat Engine, a PC application that allows players to manipulate their games via various community-made scripts.

Now, according to several Tekken community Discords, running Cheat Engine in the recently released Tekken 8 Closed Network Test has given players a look at what appears to be a partially complete roster for the game.

While some of the characters, like series mainstays Marshall Law, Jin Kazama, and King have already been confirmed, some like Yoshimitsu have yet to be officially announced by Namco. Fans have speculated that this list is likely incomplete due to the absence of Kuma, a character that’s been in every mainline game in the series.

The list of characters that fans have found via Cheat Engine is:

  • Paul Phoenix
  • Marshall Law
  • King
  • Hwoarang
  • Ling Xiaoyu
  • Jin Kazama
  • Bryan Fury
  • Lili
  • Lars Alexandersson
  • Claudio Serafino
  • Nina Williams
  • Leroy Smith
  • Kazuya Mishima
  • Jack-8
  • Asuka Kazama
  • Jun Kazama
  • Yoshimitsu
  • Shaheen
  • Raven (Default Type A)
  • Zafine (Default Type A)
  • Steve (Default Type A)
  • Alisa (Default Type A)

Tekken 8 was officially announced in September 2022 during a PlayStation State of Play livestream.

While a release date still hasn’t been confirmed, the game is planned for release on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam.

In February, Bandai Namco streamed a 36-minute breakdown of the fighting sequel’s gameplay mechanics, including its heat system, rage system, and recovery gauge.
