Target will be selling PS5 consoles this week
UPDATE: The US retailer has stock available to purchase on Thursday
Target is gearing up to make a fresh batch of PlayStation 5 consoles available to purchase following its latest restock.
PS5 consoles will be available to buy on either Thursday or Friday this week, at some point between 6am and 9am ET / 3am and 6am PT.
That’s according to console restock tracker Jake Randall, who has previously reported successfully on multiple Target sale events ahead of them going live.
UPDATE 06/01/22: PS5 consoles are currently available to purchase at Target. The retailer will also have a small number of Xbox Series X consoles available shortly.
ORIGINAL STORY CONTINUES: This week Randall shared inventory screenshots obtained from Target employees showing that some stores have around 200 disc model PS5 consoles on hand to be sold, while many stores have 20-40 systems ready and waiting.
Some stores are also in possession of a few PS5 Digital Edition consoles and Xbox Series X systems, which could be made available at the same time as the main PS5 drop, although these are extremely limited.
When they’re available, you should be able to purchase the consoles through the following links, stock permitting:
To stand the best chance of getting a console once they’re made available, users should be signed into a Target account, which will automatically direct them to the store closest to their registered address which has systems available. Delivery isn’t an option, so buyers will need to pick up the product from their chosen store.
Randall has also published a video featuring tips on how to successfully complete the PS5 and Xbox Series X checkout process at Target.
