Tango says physical version of Hi-Fi Rush still coming, final patch releasing today

Soon to be closed Xbox studio Tango Gameworks has confirmed that a physical edition of Hi-Fi Rush is still being worked on.

Doubts had been raised about the physical edition’s release following the recent announcement that Microsoft is closing the Japanese studio, but these have now seemingly been put to rest.

In an update on social media platform X, Tango also said it’s planning to release a final update for the game later today.

“Thank you all for your continued support,” it wrote.

“We’re working to release the physical edition of Hi-Fi Rush with our partners at Limited Run Games, as well as a final patch to address some minor issues releasing later today.”

Hi-Fi rush is a rhythm action game in which the aim is to time attacks to the beat in order to do more damage.

It was originally announced and released for Xbox Series X/S and PC on January 25, 2023.

The game made the jump to PS5 this March, and could also be released for Nintendo Switch soon, as part of Microsoft’s recently expanded multiplatform strategy for first-party titles.

Xbox announced last week that it was shutting down four studiosGhostwire Tokyo developer Tango, Redfall studio Arkane Austin, Mighty Doom developer Alpha Dog and support studio Roundhouse Games.
