The cosy life sim is coming to PC, console and mobile
Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of the Rings Game will be released on March 25, 2025.
Developed by New Zealand-based special effects and prop company Wētā Workshop, which is best known for its work on the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit films, the game lets players “discover, decorate, and live the cosy life of a Hobbit” in the idyllic town of Bywater.
Originally scheduled for release this year prior to a delay earlier this month, Tales of the Shire is coming to PC, Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Netflix Games via publisher Private Division.
