Tales of Arise’s E3 trailer features a new region and ‘powerful attacks’
New instalment in the long-running RPG series arrives later this year
Bandai Namco has published the E3 trailer for Tales of Arise.
The trailer features the region of Elde Menancia, “a luxurious and diverse region of Dahna”, and its capital of Viscint.
“Here players will meet Kisara and Dohalim, the last two characters to join Alphen, Shionne, Rinwell and Law in their quest to free Dahna from Renan oppression,” says the publisher.
The video also includes some of the attacks of Tales of Arise, such as Artes, one of Tales of staples, that will allow players to initiate and create combos, and the Boost Strikes, powerful attacks performed by two characters.
Tales of Arise will now be released on September 10 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PS4, and PC.
According to Famitsu, the newly announced PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions will feature reduced loading times when entering battles, plus Performance Priority (60fps) and Graphics Priority (4K) modes that will also be included with the PC version.
DualSense haptics and Game Help features will be supported on PS5 too.
Tales of Arise has been billed as “a new beginning” for the series. It is the 17th game in the franchise, which has sold over 20 million copies, according to Bandai Namco.
