Switch Sports is adding new football and volleyball features next week
The game’s free summer update incudes leg strap functionality
Nintendo Switch Sports’ free summer update will be released next week.
Launching on July 26 at 6pm PT (July 27 at 2am BST), it will introduce several new features including leg strap functionality for football matches and new volleyball moves.
Players will be able to use a Joy-Con controller and leg strap accessory to transform real kicking motions into in-game actions in four-on-four and one-on-one matches.
Slide Attack and Rocket Serve moves are also being added to volleyball, while the Pro League will introduce the new S Rank and ∞ Rank for online players.
Switch Sports was released in April with six sports: tennis, bowling, chanbara (swordplay), football, badminton and volleyball.
A second free Switch Sports update, which is scheduled to arrive later this year, will add golf to the list of playable sports.
The first in a series of Mario Strikers: Battle League updates was released on Thursday. It introduced two new characters (Daisy and Shy Guy), fresh gear and a new stadium.
Nintendo added three more games to Switch Online’s NES and SNES libraries today. Kirby’s Avalanche and Fighter’s History joined the SNES library, while Famicom title Daiva Story 6: Imperial of Nirsartia was added to the NES collection.
