Switch Online members are getting a free Dead Cells trial in Europe
From January 26 until February 1
European Nintendo Switch Online members will be able to play Dead Cells free for one week.
The rogue-like action-platformer will be available to subscribers at no extra cost between January 26 and February 1.
Dead Cells, which has sold over 3.5 million copies according to developer and publisher Motion Twin, is set to receive a second paid DLC expansion, Fatal Falls, in early 2021.
Nintendo Switch Online launched in September 2018 and is required to play most Switch games online (Fortnite is a notable exception).
Members can also access a growing library of classic SNES and NES games, back up save data online, and receive special offers including free access to Tetris 99.
Switch Online added five new titles in December 2020 when Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong’s Double Trouble (SNES) joined the service alongside The Ignition Factor (SNES), Super Valis IV (SNES), Tuff E Nuff (SNES) and Nightshade (NES).
Nintendo launched its Switch Online game trials programme in 2019.
Switch Online costs £3.49/€3.99/$3.99 for a one-month membership, £6.99/€7.99/$7.99 for a three-month membership, and £17.99/€19.99/$19.99 for a 12-month membership.
The service had over 15 million paying members as of January 2020, according to the platform holder.
