Switch is getting a physical release for 7-game Star Wars bundle
The Star Wars Heritage Pack will release in December
Aspyr and Lucasfilm Games have announced a physical edition of their seven-game Star Wars Heritage Pack for Nintendo Switch.
The physical edition will release on December 8 for $60, with pre-orders open now at various retailers. The Heritage Pack released digitally via the Nintendo eShop earlier this year.
Seven classic Star Wars titles are included in the bundle, although two require a digital download (Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and its sequel).
The Star Wars Heritage Pack includes:
- Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
- Star Wars: Republic Commando
- Star Wars: Episode I Racer
- Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy
- Star Wars: Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast
- Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
- Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II
There’s been some confusion this month around one of Aspyr’s other announced Star Wars titles, the Knights of the Old Republic remake.
Last week, fans noticed that the tweet from the primary PlayStation Twitter account announcing the game in 2021 had been deleted, while the title’s reveal trailer had also been made private.
This, combined with press reports of the title’s allegedly troubled development, led to speculation that the game could be the latest casualty of restructuring efforts at Aspyr’s parent company, Embracer Group.
However, Sony later issued a statement in response to the removal of social media posts related to Knights of the Old Republic remake, claiming that it was due to music licenses expiring.
