Summer Game Fest Kickoff Live: Here’s every major announcement
Elden Ring, Death Stranding PS5, a Borderlands spin-off and more were announced
The Game Awards founder Geoff Keighley returned with his Summer Game Fest event on Thursday, which this time included a ‘Kickoff Live’ show featuring 2 hours of world premieres.
The biggest reveal of the night was a new trailer for From Software‘s highly-anticipated Elden Ring, which was confirmed to be releasing on consoles and PC in January 2022.
Gearbox also premiered its Borderlands spin-off, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, which is described as a “high-fantasy take” on the loot shooter formula.
Elsewhere in the show, Hideo Kojima announced Death Stranding: Director’s Cut for PlayStation 5, and Sony announced a new partnership from a group of former Black Ops developers.
