Street Fighter 6’s second closed beta test will take place this month
Players can apply now to take part in the four-day test
The second closed beta test for Street Fighter 6 is coming this month, it’s been confirmed.
The test will take place from December 16 to December 19, and will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Steam (with cross-play enabled).
Players can apply for the closed beta now on the Street Fighter website.
If players gained access to the first closed beta, they will already have automatic access to the second one without having to apply again.
Capcom has stated that players must now already have their Capcom ID and platform account linked before applying for the second closed beta.
According to the publisher, this is because some players were selling their access codes for the first closed beta.
The full list of modes available in the second closed beta is as follows:
- Ranked match
- Casual match
- Battle Hub match
- Open tournament
- Extreme battle
- Game center
- Training mode
Capcom says a couple of changes have been made for the second closed beta, including some bug fixes.
There’s also a new opetion to reduce input delay in the Graphics menu, which Capcom warns could cause some screen tearing.
“Turning this option on will shorten the gap between your inputs and the action happening on-screen,” it says. “This is especially useful if you are using a monitor capable of displaying at 120Hz on PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S.
“For the Steam version the same effect can be achieved by turning this option on, setting Vsync to off, and setting the refresh rate to 120 Hz or higher.”
Street Fighter 6 was rated in South Korea last week, where it was issued a 15 certificate.
While the rating doesn’t necessarily mean the game’s release is imminent, it does suggest that fans could receive news on when the title is expected to arrive in the coming weeks.
