Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin gets a new demo and release date
Players can sample the Team Ninja spin-off’s multiplayer features for the first time
Square Enix has announced a March 18, 2022 release date for Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin.
Billed as “a bold new vision for Final Fantasy”, the action RPG is being developed by Ninja Gaiden and Nioh studio Team Ninja, in collaboration with Final Fantasy series veteran Tetsuya Nomura.
It will be available for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC via the Epic Games Store.
Square Enix has also launched an expanded version of the Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin demo previously released in June.
Available for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S until October 11, the demo includes an additional stage (the Refrin Wetlands), a new ally, plus fresh jobs and enemies. It also lets players sample the game’s multiplayer features for the first time.
“Stranger Of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin blends challenging and strategic action gameplay with the world and lore of the Final Fantasy series to create a unique action RPG experience,” according to Square Enix.
“Join Jack and his allies as they throw open the gates to the Chaos Shrine and step into a world of dark fantasy and exhilarating battles to discover if they are truly the Warriors of Light the prophecy foretold.”
