Steam Next Fest launches today, offering access to 100s of game demos

The latest edition of Steam Next Fest launches on Monday.

The week-long digital event, which includes access to hundreds of PC game demos, kicks off at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm GMT.

In addition to demos, Valve says Steam Next Fest will include dozens of livestreams and give players the chance to chat with developers about their upcoming games.

Valve published the schedule for this year’s Steam sales and Next Fest events in February.

The latest Next Fest will run until June 26, which is three days before the Steam Summer Sale starts.

Another Next Fest will take place in October, ahead of Steam’s Autumn and Winter sales in November and December respectively.

Valve released a big update to the Steam desktop client last week.

New features include a redesigned in-game overlay, the ability to write down notes about the game users are playing, pinnable in-game windows and improvements to notifications.

In March, Valve announced Counter-Strike 2 ahead of the game’s release this summer.

It will arrive as a free upgrade to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, allowing players to bring across their inventory from the current game.
