State of Play: How to watch today’s PlayStation stream
40-minute presentation will focus on PS4 and PS VR with “a few PS5 game updates”
Sony will stream a new State of Play presentation today focused on third-party games coming to PS4 and PS VR.
The 40-minute stream, which airs at 1pm PT/4pm ET/9pm BST/10pm CEST, will also include “a few PS5 game updates on third-party and indie titles” originally revealed in June’s PS5 software showcase, according to PlayStation communications director Sid Shuman.
It can be viewed on Twitch and YouTube, but we’ve embedded the stream at the top of this page so you can watch it here too.
“To be super clear — there will be no PlayStation Studios updates in Thursday’s episode”, Shuman wrote on the PlayStation Blog.
“There won’t be any updates around hardware, business, preorders, or dates either. On Thursday, our focus is squarely on showcasing some cool upcoming games coming to the broader PlayStation ecosystem.”
Sony released new imagery for PS5’s controller and accessories this week, showing the DualSense, PS5 headset, camera and remote from all angles.
It also released new details on PS5’s compatibility with legacy console accessories, confirming that PS4 controllers won’t work with PS5 games. However, DualShock 4 will work with PS4 games via backwards compatibility.
