Stalker 2 studio backs campaign raising money to rebuild Ukrainian schools
GSC Game World supports Ukraine charity campaign in the wake of Russia’s invasion
Stalker 2 studio GSC Game World is supporting a new fundraising campaign designed to help Ukrainian children return to school.
It has joined forces with United24, a Ukrainian government-run platform which was launched to raise money for the country following its invasion by Russia.
They’re currently raising money towards generators for 112 schools in Ukraine, with the aim of helping over 30,000 Ukrainian children return to their studies this winter.
Those who donate $24 or more have a chance to win one of three United 24 and Stalker 2-branded radiation dosimeters, as well as one of 10 Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl Ultimate Edition physical packages that include physical copies of game souvenirs and memorabilia.
Those who donate $10 or more will have a chance to win one of 20 game keys and one of 20 limited Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl T-shirts.
Following a lengthy and highly challenging development cycle, which included GSC Game World partially relocating from Kiev to the Czech Republic following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, its post-apocalyptic shooter sequel launched in November for Xbox Series X/S, PC and Game Pass.
When the game was released last year, the studio acknowledged Stalker 2‘s “rough edges” and pledged to make improvements to the title.
In December, GSC Game World released its first major patch for Stalker 2, which included some 1,800 fixes.
