Stadia’s free-to-play Super Bomberman R Online is officially coming to consoles and PC
64-player battle game to sell $9.99 pass for classic Konami outfits
Stadia exclusive Super Bomberman R Online will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC soon, Konami has announced.
The game will be a free-to-play, digital-only title designed for online multiplayer. Release timing is yet to be announced.
The original version of Super Bomberman R was released in March 2017 as a Switch launch title. The first new Bomberman in six years, it was eventually ported to the Xbox One, PS4 and PC in 2018.

Super Bomberman R Online is a special online-only version of the game which was released last year as a Stadia exclusive.
It features a new Battle 64 mode, which is an online battle royale for up to 64 players. 16 normal-sized battle stages are joined together by tunnels, with four players starting in each. Players can use the tunnels to travel between the stages in order to find and blow up their opponents.
Like the Stadia version, Super Bomberman R Online will be a free download and allow players to take part at no extra cost.
There will also be a Premium Pass, however, which costs $9.99 / £9.99 and unlocks special outfits based on classic Konami games.
These outfits include Naked Snake and Raiden from Metal Gear Solid, Pyramid Head and Robbie the Rabbit from Silent Hill and Simon, Richter and Alucard from Castlevania.
The Premium Pass also lets players create their own private rooms with unique rulesets, rather than simply having access to Battle 64 mode.
A rating for a previously unannounced PC version of Super Bomberman R Online appeared on the ESRB website last week, so an official announcement was expected.
