Stadia is getting an exclusive pre-release Immortals Fenyx Rising demo
Fenyx Rising trial will be free to all users
Ubisoft has announced a deal with Stadia which will see the Google streaming platform receive an exclusive Immortals Fenyx Rising demo before the game’s release.
The demo will arrive ahead of the game’s December 3 release and will be free to all Stadia members. “All you’ll need is a Gmail account,” Stadia boss Phil Harrison said during the Ubisoft Forward event on Thursday.
“With just a single click, you’ll be able to add the demo to your Stadia library and instantly join Fenyx on her quest to save the Greek gods.”
The demo will feature an “entirely unique” island exclusive to the Stadia trial.
Developed by Assassin’s Creed Odyssey studio Ubisoft Quebec, Immortals is described as “a storybook adventure about a forgotten hero on a quest to save the Greek gods”.
Following Ubisoft Forward, VGC published an Immortals Fenyx Rising interview and 30 minutes of exclusive gameplay.
Google introduced a significant Stadia price cut in June, just seven months after the platform’s November 2019 launch.
It’s now offering the Stadia Premiere Edition (which lets you play games on your TV using Google Chromecast Ultra and a Stadia Controller) for $99.99/£89.99/€99.99, down from its original $129/£119/€129 price.
Stadia also launched Click to Play this month. The new feature lets Stadia Pro subscribers click the links in YouTube video descriptions to instantly play the games they are viewing.
