Square Enix has announced plans to release Triangle Strategy for PC next month.

The game is available to pre-order now ahead of its Steam release on October 13.

Players who purchase the digital Standard (£49.99) or Deluxe Edition (£54.99) of Triangle Strategy before its release date will receive a 10% discount on the listed prices.

Originally released for Nintendo Switch in March, the 2D tactical RPG is the latest game from the development team behind Bravely Default and Octopath Traveler.

“Triangle Strategy takes place on the continent of Norzelia, where players will determine the fate of three powerful kingdoms embroiled in conflict, Glenbrook, Aesfrost, and Hyzante,” according to Square Enix.

“Set 30 years after the ‘Saltiron War,’ players will guide protagonist Serenoa Wolffort and his faithful companions, childhood friend Prince Roland, fiancée Princess Frederica Aesfrost, and the steward of House Wolffort Benedict, as they attempt to navigate their way through this new conflict.”

VGC’s Triangle Strategy review praised the game’s branching story, user-friendly battle mechanics and art style.

“Triangle Strategy is an enormous tactical RPG with a solid turn-based battle system,” it concluded. “Its epic plot and lengthy dialogue may be a bit overbearing, but anyone willing to take on an extremely detailed story will have a wealth to do here.”

Earlier today, Square Enix announced Octopath Traveler 2 for Nintendo Switch, with a February 24, 2023 release date.
