Spider-Man PS4 update will enable players to transfer saves to the PS5 remaster
Insomniac commits to offering save transfers following fan requests
Insomniac Games has confirmed that Marvel’s Spider-Man saves will be transferable from the PS4 game to the upcoming PS5 remaster.
Having initially said it wouldn’t be possible to transfer saves between the two titles, the studio has now committed to delivering the feature in an update set for release around Thanksgiving (November 26).
The update will also add the three new suits included in Spider-Man Remastered to the PS4 version of the game.
Releasing on November 12, the $70/£70 Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition will come with a download code for Spider-Man Remastered, which also includes all three instalments of the The City That Never Sleeps DLC.
Current-gen owners who purchase Miles Morales will be able to upgrade to the ‘standard’ next-gen version for free or pay an additional $20 fee to receive the Ultimate version which includes the remaster.
Sony said in September that it has “no plans currently to offer Marvel’s-Spider-Man: Remastered as a standalone” release.
Earlier today PlayStation released the launch trailer for Spider-Man Miles Morales, which you can watch below.
VGC’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales review called it “a beautiful, satisfying game with a gripping story”.
