Spider-Man 2 PC features and specs revealed on the eve of the game’s release
Nixxes has detailed the enhancements made to the PC version of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
Sony has announced Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’s PC features and system requirements.
Developer Nixxes discussed the enhancements made to the PC version of the game in a blog published on the eve of its Steam and Epic Games Store release.
An accompanying trailer, which is viewable above, also confirmed that the PC version will feature upscaling and frame generation, ultra-wide screen support, ray-traced shadows and ambient occlusion, improved ray-traced reflections, and DualSense support.
“With options like raytracing and ultra-wide support, we want to give players the chance to make full use of their high-end PC gaming rigs,” said Nixxes communications manager Julian Huijbregts.
“However, at Nixxes we also take pride in making PC games scale down to prior generation hardware. To cater to this, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on PC offers a wide range of graphics settings and presets, including options without ray-tracing, like dynamic resolution scaling. Check out an overview of the recommended specifications for a variety of graphics presets below.”

Announcing the PC version last October, Insomniac said it had “no additional story content planned” for the title.
Sony confirmed today that PC players will soon no longer require a PlayStation Network account to play its biggest first-party games, but having one will now also unlock in-game extras.
With the release of Spider-Man 2 for PC, having a PSN account to play the game will be optional. That will also be the case with previously released titles God of War Ragnarök and Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, plus The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered, which will be released in April.
PC players with a PSN account will get to unlock two in-game Spider-Man suits early.
It was recently announced that Insomniac Games founder and president Ted Price is retiring. Having founded the Spider-Man and Ratchet & Clank studio in 1994, Price will leave the games industry in March.
