Sony’s PlayStation Showcase returns next Wednesday
It will feature “a wealth of new games and new IP are headed to PS5 and PS VR2”
Sony will hold a PlayStation Showcase next week.
PlayStation Showcase broadcasts live on Wednesday, May 24 at 1pm Pacific Time / 9pm BST.
It will feature “a wealth of new games and new IP are headed to PS5 and PS VR2.”
“The show will run a bit over an hour, focusing on PS5 and PS VR2 games in development from top studios from around the world. Expect a glimpse at several new creations from PlayStation Studios, as well as spellbinding games from our third-party partners and indie creators,” according to PlayStation.
Much of PlayStation’s 2023 lineup is unknown, with only Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on Sony‘s roster. It’s likely that Wednesday’s show will reveal more of what PlayStation plans to release later this year.
This PlayStation Showcase kicks off several weeks of major video game showcases, which are taking place in the absence of the cancelled E3 2023 show.
Summer Game Fest, which is billed as the “global fan celebration of what’s next in video games”, will return for its fourth year with a live kick-off show on Thursday, June 8, 2023.
Promising world premieres, live gameplay demos and announcements, the show will take place in front of a live audience at the YouTube Theater at Hollywood Park in Inglewood, California.
Following Summer Game Fest, this summer’s Xbox Games Showcase will take place on Sunday, June 11, and will begin at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST / 7pm CET.
