Sony’s delayed PS5 game Destruction AllStars shows off its heroes ahead of PS Plus release
Originally planned a console launch title, AllStars will be available in February
Sony has released a new trailer for delayed first-party game Destruction AllStars.
Originally planned as a full-price PS5 launch title, the vehicle-based combat game will be released through PlayStation Plus for two months at no additional cost to subscribers beginning in February 2020.
Destruction AllStars is developed by Lucid Games, which previously worked on titles including Need for Speed Payback and Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions.
It features a roster of 16 heroes competing to be crowned the Global Destruction Federation Champion, each with their own signature vehicle and special abilities.
“Utilize each AllStar’s abilities to tailor your tactics and play style – exploit their agility, speed or strength to wreck and evade rivals with powerful skills and parkour, switch between vehicles or leap onto speeding cars in heart-stopping takeover attempts,” reads a description of the game on PlayStation’s website.
The title features “a storied single-player series, specifically tailored to a number of playable Destruction AllStars”, and also supports 16-player online matches.
January’s PlayStation Plus games are Maneater for PS5 and Rise of the Tomb Raider and Greedfall for PS4.
