Sony publishes PlayStation VR2 ‘ultimate FAQ’ ahead of this month’s launch
PS5’s virtual reality headset will be released on February 22
Sony Interactive Entertainment has published a new PlayStation VR2 guide ahead of the headset’s launch this month.
Billed as the “ultimate FAQ”, it promises “an exhaustive list of in-depth details on the hardware, its games and more”.
Sid Shuman, SIE’s senior director of content communications, said readers should post any outstanding questions they have in the comments section of the FAQ as the company will endeavour to update it in the run-up to release and post-launch.
PlayStation VR2 will launch on February 22 and will be priced at $549.99 / €599.99 / £529.99. For this, players get the PS VR2 headset, the PS VR2 Sense controllers and stereo headphones.
There’s also a $599.99 / €649.99 / £569.99 bundle which includes a PlayStation Store voucher code for launch title Horizon: Call of the Mountain.
Sony confirmed last month that the PlayStation VR2 launch window line-up would consist of 37 games, with Horizon: Call of the Mountain and a VR version of Gran Turismo 7 available on day one.
Bloomberg sources recently claimed that Sony has halved its launch projections for PlayStation VR2 following disappointing pre-order numbers.
They claimed Sony’s shipment forecasts were cut from two million to one million units this quarter. In response, Sony issued a statement claiming it has “not cut PlayStation VR2 production numbers”.
