Sony premieres extended Ratchet & Clank PS5 gameplay demo

Insomniac premiered new Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart PlayStation 5 gameplay during Gamescom: Opening Night Live on Thursday.

Sony Interactive Entertainment announced Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart for PlayStation 5 in June and it’s set for release during the console’s launch window.

Insomniac Games creative director Marcus Smith said at the time that the new “interdimensional adventure” has been built from the ground up for the next-gen console.

“All of our alien worlds are filled with density and life previously unseen,” he said. “Ratchet’s all-new arsenal is more exciting than ever thanks to the DualSense controller’s advanced feedback.”

Insominaic Games also announced Marvel Spider-Man Miles Morales during the PS5 software reveal event. It will be released during the console’s holiday 2020 launch window.

Sony acquired California-based Insomniac Games in August 2019.
