Sony is rolling out another temporary PS5 Slim price cut in Europe
Retailers have started discounting the console by $75
Sony is reportedly set to discount PlayStation 5 Slim across Europe again this month.
Following PS5 Slim’s first temporary price cut last month, which saw the console discounted by €75/£70 in several countries, Spanish retailers including Amazon and Mediamarkt are offering the same deal once more.
Ever-reliable dataminer billbil-kun expects the promotion to launch around March 18 in France.
In Germany, retailers including GameStop reportedly plan to cut the console’s price from €549.99 to €479.99 and throw in a free copy of Alone in the Dark, when the game is released on March 20.
While Sony had previously hoped to ship a record 25 million PlayStation consoles during its current fiscal year ending in on March 31, it said last month that it expected to miss that target by four million units.
It was recently claimed that the platform holder is planning to release a PS5 Pro console in late 2024, and that it will feature a proprietary DLSS-like solution.
The latest PS5 system update was released on Wednesday, with new features including console light dimming and DualShock controller improvements.
