Sony has dropped a 12-minute Demon’s Souls video ahead of PS5’s launch
State of Play offers a “deep dive” into launch game
PlayStation has released a 12-minute State of Play video detailing PS5 launch game Demon’s Souls.
The video, which is narrated by creative director Gavin Moore, was published on Saturday and offers a deep dive into the game’s world and story.
“In this tour, we’re sticking with the offline experience,” Sony’s Brett Elston wrote on the PlayStation Blog. “Once the game launches, you’ll be able to discover the asynchronous and synchronous multiplayer features* that make Demon’s Souls so adored among fans.”
Developed by Bluepoint Games and Sony Worldwide Studios, Demon’s Souls is releasing on November 12 as a PS5 launch title.
The updated version of the 2009 PlayStation 3 title – which was the precursor to the Dark Souls games – will allow players to choose between two graphics modes: one focused on fidelity, and one focused on frame rate.
Demon’s Souls will reportedly include over 180 help videos available through PS5’s new Activities feature, which Sony says is designed to “remove barriers to gameplay” by enabling players to bring up hints without leaving a game.
Activities are displayed in the form of on-screen cards which also highlight new gameplay opportunities and allow users to jump directly into levels or challenges they want to play.
