Sony has announced a free PlayStation Plus online multiplayer weekend

Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced plans to hold a free PlayStation Plus online multiplayer weekend this month.

Online multiplayer modes for PS4 and PS5 titles will be accessible without a PlayStation Plus subscription from June 24-25.

Players who want to take part in the promotion will need a PlayStation Network account.

Sony announced today that it’s currently testing cloud streaming for PS5 games, a feature which will be offered to PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers when it launches.

It will include PS5 games from the PlayStation Plus Game Catalogue and Game Trials, plus supported digital PS5 titles that players own.

Sony also confirmed June’s PlayStation Plus Game Catalogue and Classics titles on Wednesday.

Launching next week, the former will include Far Cry 6, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, Tacoma and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, while the latter include Killzone: Liberation, Worms and Herc’s Adventures.

This month’s PlayStation Plus Essential games are NBA 2K23, Jurassic World Evolution 2 and Trek to Yomi.
