Soma and Costume Quest are the next free Epic Games store titles

Soma and Costume Quest will be the next free Epic Games store titles.

They’ll replace Q.U.B.E. 2 (normally £19.99) and Layers of Fear (normally £14.99), which are now free to download from the Epic Games store until October 31.

Frictional Games’ Soma originally released in 2015 and the PC version of the sci-fi horror game has a Metascore of 84 on review aggregation site Metacritic.

Costume Quest, which launched for consoles in 2010 before making its way to PC the following year, is a Halloween adventure from Tim Schafer‘s Double Fine Productions.

Epic originally launched a bi-monthly free game offer alongside its PC storefront in December 2018 but said in mid-May that it was increasing the frequency of the offer to one free game per week until the end of 2019.

Titles offered for free have included Alan Wake, For Honor, Limbo, This War of Mine, Overcooked, World of Goo, Transistor, The Witness, Hyper Light Drifter, Fez, Inside, Celeste, Metro 2033 Redux, Minit, Alan Wake’s American Nightmare and Observer.

The Epic Games store recently launched a Halloween sale featuring discounts on over 30 titles. These include World War Z for £18.23 (normally £31.99), Control for £35.99 (normally £47.99), Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls for £12.79 each (normally £15.99), The Walking Dead : The Telltale Definitive Series for £27.99 (normally £39.99), and Rainbow Six Siege for £6.79 (normally £16.99).
