Skull & Bones is getting a closed beta this summer

Ubisoft has announced plans to host a closed beta for Skull & Bones this summer.

The test will run from August 25-28 and players can register now for the chance to participate.

The beta was announced during the latest Ubisoft Forward showcase on Monday.

Skull & Bones has had a troubled development. It was originally scheduled for release in 2018 but has been delayed on a handful of occasions, with the project also rebooted in 2020.

In January, Ubisoft announced that the game would miss its most recently announced release date of March 9, 2023, for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Amazon Luna and PC.

The game is now scheduled for release during the publisher’s current fiscal year ending in March 2024.

Ubisoft has said that Skull & Bones will be its first $70 title.
