Silent Hill Townfall announced, published by Annapurna Interactive
The game is in development at Scottish team NoCode
Silent Hill Townfall has been announced.
Revealed during the Silent Hill Transmission, Silent Hill Townfall is in development at Scottish studio NoCode, and will be published by Annapurna Interactive.
“I remember playing the original Silent Hill on PS1 back in 1999, and became a fan from that moment on,” said NoCode creative director Jon McKellan.
“It’s a real honour for us to bring a new title to this series that both respects the source material but also does something a little bit different with it.”
NoCode has previously developed Stories Untold and Observation.
While no gameplay was shown, some images were quickly flashed during the presentation, which may allude to the game being a first-person project.
“We can’t wait to come back in the new year and show you more,” said McKellan.
“Until then, it might be worth watching that trailer again and see what you might have missed.”
Today’s Silent Hill showcase was also used to announce several other projects. Following months of speculation, Konami officially confirmed a Silent Hill 2 remake is in the works at Bloober Team.
It also revealed Silent Hill F, which is in development at Taiwan-based Neoboards Entertainment, the studio behind Resident Evil Resistance, the asymmetrical-multiplayer survival game released in 2020, and the upcoming online game Resident Evil: Re:Verse.
And it announced Silent Hill: Ascension, an “interactive streaming series where the entire community shapes the canon of Silent Hill”.
