Silent Hill: Ascension looks set to launch on October 31, 2023.
While the “interactive streaming series” is officially set to debut this year, a Google Play listing updated on Monday carries the late October launch date.
“Silent Hill: Ascension launches October 31st,” it reads. “Experience the live world premiere at 9pm ET / 6pm PT.”
According to developer Genvid Technologies, Silent Hill: Ascension offers “a unique mix of streaming show and video game where the audience can influence the outcome of the characters, worlds and stories they love”.
It adds: “The series follows multiple main characters from locations around the world tormented by new and terrifying Silent Hill monsters.
“Lurking in the shadows, these monsters threaten to consume people, their children, and entire towns as they’re drawn into the darkness by both recent murders and long-suppressed guilt and fears.
“Join this immersive journey as your decisions shape the story, leading to gripping moments of redemption, suffering, or damnation.”
Silent Hill: Ascension will feature “daily live story scenes where each day is different from the last based on your actions and the audience’s decisions”.
Ascension is one of a number of Silent Hill projects currently in development.
The Medium developer Bloober Team is working on Silent Hill 2 remake, Silent Hill Townfall is in development at Scottish studio NoCode and will be published by Annapurna Interactive, and Silent Hill F is a “completely new story set in 1960s Japan featuring a beautiful, yet horrifying world”.
