Silent Hill 2’s latest trailer shows ‘modernised’ combat gameplay
The Bloober Team remake is yet to receive a release date
Konami has premiered a new trailer for its Silent Hill 2 remake.
Shown during a PlayStation live stream on Wednesday, the gameplay video shows what Konami describes as “improved and modernized” combat.
The Silent Hill 2 remake, which is being developed by Bloober Team, was first announced in 2022, however, there has been little update since then. The studio recently asked that fans be patient as it continues to work on the game.
Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno said back in March 2023 that development of its Silent Hill 2 remake was “close” to being completed. “Silent Hill 2 is technically ready,” Babieno said in an interview at the time. “It does not mean that the game is finished, but we are close.
“However, the issue of the release schedule lies with our partners. What the promotion will look like and when the title will debut is not directly in our hands.”
