Shenmue 3 ‘Spirit of the Land’ trailer released
Take a tour of various locations ahead of this September’s release of a trial version of the game
Ys Net has released a new Shenmue 3 trailer to coincide with Tokyo Game Show.
Titled ‘Spirit of the Land,’ the trailer provides a tour of various locations players will get to visit when the game’s released for PS4 and PC on November 19.
Backers of the Kickstarter project are due to begin receiving email surveys in mid-September asking them to confirm which version of the game they wish to receive.
PC backers unhappy with the decision to release that version exclusively through the Epic Games store will also be able to take up the offer of a refund.
“Refund requests will be accepted only through the backer survey during the [two-week] survey period,” Ys Net confirmed earlier this month.
It also announced plans to release a trial version of the game in the second half of September. The replayable trial will last for approximately one hour and feature a standalone act set in the first area of Shenmue 3, Bailu Village.
In an interview published in August, Ys Net’s Yu Suzuki told VGC he hopes to one day complete the Shenmue saga, which by the end of the third game will be less than halfway through its epic revenge story.
In the same interview, the veteran Sega designer suggested he could be in discussions to return to his classic series Virtua Fighter and Out Run.
