September’s Xbox Live Games with Gold titles have been announced
The Division, The Book of Unwritten Rules 2, De Blob 2 and Armed and Dangerous
Microsoft has revealed September’s Xbox Live Games with Gold titles.
On Xbox One, subscribers will be able to download The Division (normally $29.99/£24.99) for free throughout September.
The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 (normally $19.99/£23.99) will then be available as a free download from September 16 to October 15.
On Xbox One and Xbox 360, De Blob 2 (normally $19.99/£14.99) will be free for Xbox Live Gold members from September 1-15.
And from September 16 until the end of the month, Armed and Dangerous (normally $9.99/£9.19) will be free to download.
As part of August’s Games with Gold line-up, members can download Portal Knights and Red Faction II until the end of this month, while Override: Mech City Brawl is free until September 15.
Microsoft recently stopped selling 12-month Xbox Live Gold subscriptions, fuelling speculation that the long-running service could be repackaged or phased out to coincide with the Xbox Series X launch this holiday season.
However, the company subsequently told VGC “there are no changes being made to the experience of the service or Xbox Live Gold.”
Xbox Live active users approached 90 million and Xbox Game Pass subscribers topped 10 million during the Microsoft’s third financial quarter ended in March 2020.
Providing an update on the services during Microsoft’s fourth quarter earnings call in July, CEO Satya Nadella said Xbox Game Pass “is seeing record subscriber growth across both console and PC” and that there are now “nearly 100 million Xbox Live players around the world”.
