Pre-orders will open on March 26 for the US version, which features localised packaging
Sega’s Astro City Mini micro-sized arcade cabinet is coming to the West via Limited Run Games.
The US-based game distributor will be opening pre-orders for the 36-game hardware ($130) from March 26, as well as a Mini Style Kit ($40) and Mini Game Pad ($28).
The Limited Run version features localised English packaging for the US market, the firm said, but it’s not clear if its games will also be localised to their English versions.
Only 3,500 units have been manufactured in English packaging for the US market, Limited Run said.
Astro City Mini released in Japan last year and comes preloaded with 36 Sega arcade titles, including Golden Axe, Virtua Fighter and Fantasy Zone.
The micro-console includes a built-in screen, joystick and six-button setup. It can also be played on a television via HDMI and is powered via a micro USB connection.
There are two additional USB slots for additional control pads and arcade sticks, which will reportedly be sold separately.
Even though the included software is based on arcade games, each offers save states similar to other micro-consoles.
